My Story
Kelowna Makeup Artist
Hi, I’m Priya, the artist behind Beyond Beauty by Pri. Based in the breathtaking Okanagan, I’ve got a passion for creativity and a commitment to helping people look and feel their best.
As a little girl, I would watch my mom apply her makeup, and was always so intrigued by the different shades, products and textures. I remember being in awe of how beautiful my mom looked, and I could see how makeup made her feel. Over time, makeup became my creative outlet, and helped me navigate life’s challenges and eventually, it grew into my biggest passion. Like a canvas, my face provided me with an opportunity to create different looks on myself.
I would do makeup for my friends and family, however, my connection to makeup was far deeper. It was a 20 year dream of mine to take a course. Finally, in 2024, I decided to push myself and enroll in a certified, Makeup Artistry course. The course was the best decision I ever made. Since taking the course, I have created many looks for beautiful clients, provided makeup services for models for a clothing company photoshoot, began part-time employment as a Freelance Makeup Artist for the Estée Lauder Company, and will be starting, one-on-one workshops with a well established, local Makeup Artist this January!
My makeup artistry name, Beyond Beauty by Pri reflects the idea that your services go deeper than just surface-level makeup artistry. It symbolizes going beyond by tailoring each look to reflect my client’s unique personality and style, enhancing inner confidence, creating memorable experiences, artistry and passion.
What sets Beyond Beauty by Pri apart is my dedication to building connections. I genuinely love getting to know my clients and being part of their most memorable moments. Inspired by the beauty of Kelowna and the Okanagan, my goal is to celebrate individuality while creating looks that are timeless, fresh, and uniquely you.
